About the team and the role:
eBay is seeking a Senior Engineer for their Cloud Databases and Storage organization, that builds and runs petabyte scale core data platform that powers large scale database, storage, caching and media infrastructure. This position will have the opportunity to architect, build and operate the next generation distributed database and storage platform that powers some of the most critical systems powering eBay’s global ecommerce business. You will be responsible for scaling eBay’s core data infrastructure by working closely with other engineers, customers, business partners, and product managers.
What you will accomplish:
You will be building and managing massively scalable database and storage systems for eBay
As a self-motivated and enthusiastic technical leader of our team, you will collaborate with extremely inquisitive and proficient peers leading and designing data infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, storage and large-scale database systems
As a senior engineer, you will guide junior in your team and also across other cloud teams in building scalable, high speed, distributed systems and advocate for meeting the design and quality standards
You will contribute to the design, development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation and rest of the cycles in product development and maintenance
What you will bring:
Experience in architecting, designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software systems, storage and database
