ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager plays a central role in the day-to-day management, reporting, and control of the organisation’s finances. The postholder deputises for the Financial Controller as required and helps drive accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Control
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Produce management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Own the integrity of the general ledger and deliver a timely, accurate month-end close.
- Maintain and continually strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the cashflow forecasting process, producing short and long-term forecasts, flagging liquidity risks, and presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Support the annual budget and reforecast cycles, partnering with budget holders across the business.
- Deliver financial analysis and scenario modelling to inform business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and surface risks and opportunities to the Financial Controller.
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate the external audit, acting as a primary point of contact for auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including VAT and corporation tax.
- Support the implementation of robust internal audit and risk management frameworks.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the finance team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
- Deputise for the Financial Controller, providing leadership and direction to the wider finance function.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and processes, ensuring data integrity and appropriate access controls.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Fully ACCA qualified, with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
- Proven track record in management accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a finance team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting and ERP systems.
Desirable
- Experience in the property or real estate sector.
- Exposure to external audit coordination and statutory accounts preparation.
- Working knowledge of VAT returns and corporation tax compliance.
- Experience with financial systems implementation or process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with applying artificial intelligence tools in a finance context.

Pay: €65,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
