Games Development Coach (Part-Time – 27.5 Hours)

Na Piarsaigh is a thriving Hurling & Gaelic Football Club catering for boys of all ages through to adult level. Based in Fair Hill, Cork, the club is committed to developing players and strengthening community engagement.
We are now seeking to appoint a Games Development Coach (GDC) to play a key role in the continued growth and development of our club.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to player development, school engagement, and coaching support within the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coaching sessions at Primary and Post Primary school level
- Develop strong links between the Hive Academy and Juvenile Section (ages 5–16)
- Promote the club within schools to recruit and retain players
- Assist schools with Sciath na Scoil preparation
- Organise school blitzes and Club Promotion Days
- Support and mentor club coaches, particularly new coaches
- Attend monthly review meetings and submit activity reports
- Coordinate Easter, Summer and seasonal camps
- Manage the weekly Nursery Programme (5–6-year-olds)
- Work with the Underage Committee on ongoing development plans
- Bring forward new ideas and initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- GAA Coaching Qualification (Introduction to Coaching or Award Level 1)
- Strong organisational, administration, and IT skills
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to engage positively with children, parents, teachers, and coaches
- A natural ability to work with and motivate young players, creating a fun, inclusive, and safe environment
- Own transport
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Experience in GAA or similar sporting environment (desired)
- Garda Vetting & Child Safeguarding 1 (required)
- Experience coaching in Primary Schools (desirable)
Role Details
- Hours: 27.5 hours per week (flexible, mainly daytime with some weekend work)
- Salary: €27,500 per annum (pro-rata)
- Start Date: September 2026 (training provided)
