Head Chef – Wine Bar, Ashtown, Dublin 15
Baked & Bottled is looking for a highly creative and experienced Head Chef to join our bakery café, with a wine bar concept launching soon.
We are building a casual wine bar focused on European-inspired small plates (French, ,Spanish, Italian, and beyond), and we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the kitchen and help shape the food concept.
Position: Head Chef (Full-time)
Shift: Afternoon / evening focused
Start Date: Negotiable
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality casual small plates inspired by European flavours (French, Italian, and beyond)
- Develop creative dishes designed for sharing and wine pairing
- Take responsibility for kitchen organisation and day-to-day operations
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal changes
- Maintain full compliance with HSE food hygiene standards
- Follow and implement HACCP procedures, including documentation
- Ensure a clean, efficient, and well-organised kitchen
Requirements
- Strong experience in independent cafés or restaurants
- (Experience from fast-food chains or large franchises will not be considered)
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a kitchen
- A strong sense of creativity and interest in European-style cooking
- Experience or interest in wine bar / small plate concepts
- Solid understanding of HSE hygiene requirements and HACCP systems
- Good English communication skills
- Reliable, organised, and proactive
