NEAT Gates, part of the Electro Automation Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Gate Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Ireland's most established and respected names in automation and access control.

The Role
As a Gate Designer, you will play a key role in the design and development of manual and automated gate systems and their associated components. Working closely with manufacturing and operations teams, you will ensure designs are produced to the highest standards and are optimised for production and installation.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects while developing your skills within a growing and forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Gate & Component Design
- Design manual and automated gate systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Produce high-quality designs for gates and associated components.
- Generate accurate 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop manufacturing drawings and documentation to support production.
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Production & Manufacturing Support
- Manage CAM outputs for CNC machinery.
- Support efficient manufacturing processes through accurate design and programming.
- Liaise with production teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of new processes.
Quality & Documentation
- Maintain and manage design document control systems.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed and enhanced where necessary.
- Maintain organised drawing and filing systems.
- Support technical documentation and revision control.
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience using SolidWorks. Minimum 12 months practical experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles.
- Experience in CAD and a basic understanding of CAM systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation specifications.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Full clean driving licence.
Bonus Areas – Preferred Skills
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- Experience with LogiKal software.
- Previous experience within gate manufacturing or gate automation.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Experience working with aluminium fabrication or related industries.
- Familiarity with automation systems and mechanical assemblies.
