Full job description

The Maintenance Assistant key purpose is to work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all areas of the hotel are maintained in proper working order, to the highest possible standards - this in turn ensures the health and safety of all staff and guests at all times.

. Check maintenance log and report daily to the Maintenance Manager for allocated duties.

- Collect bulbs list on a daily basis and replace all blown light bulbs as required.
- Collect rubbish from all areas of the Hotel and remove to the skip area
- To work in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and to help rectify/repair whatever is needed.
- To ensure that due care and diligence is taken when carrying out tasks to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- To ensure that correct safety signage and security measures are in place taken to warn others of dangers hereby minimising risk of injury.
- To liaise directly with Maintenance Manager and Hotel Management in relation to issues that require the attention of maintenance.
- Descaling of Shower Heads in each of the hotel bathrooms. (Every 3 month rotation)
- Cleaning of extraction fans. (Monthly)
- Internal painting

To ensure that a full handover is given at the end of your day to update Maintenance Manager and Hotel Management on issues.

1. To arrive for work on time and dressed to standard of uniform, grooming and personal hygiene.

2. To adhere to the company’s terms and conditions and house rules and outlined in the Employee Handbook.

3. To comply with your responsibilities as defined in the Health & Safety Statement.

4. To be familiar with and adhere to the operational standards of the department.

5. To provide the guests and members at all times with the highest level of guest care and personal attention.

6. The company promotes a high level of team awareness: - be aware of being courteous to your colleagues and lending a helping hand if needed.

9. To be aware of safety in the workplace ensuring that your actions do not cause accident or injury to anyone.
