About us:
With a team of over 20 people, we form part of Ireland’s leading deals tax team and have a dedicated focus on real assets (real estate and infrastructure). We advise some of the largest global investment firms as well as domestic investors on their investment in real assets both in Ireland and abroad.
What we do:
As a Manager, you will work with some of the largest global investment firms as well as domestic investors on a broad range of real assets investments, supporting them on the various commercial and tax matters impacting their investments into and out of Ireland.
What does this role offer:
This is a unique opportunity for a corporate tax professional looking to diversify their experience, in this role you will work on challenging and exciting projects which involve some of the largest investment deals in Ireland and abroad. Real asset experience is desirable but not essential as you will be strongly supported and be provided with on the job and formal training.
You will get to work closely with our clients to develop efficient structures, assist them with all tax aspects of the deal and find solutions to challenging issues. As part of our work you will learn a great deal about the legal and commercial elements of the deal, working closely with our clients and other advisors. You will have the opportunity to become not only a trusted tax advisor but an all round trusted advisor and will get to have an input into business development opportunities and attend networking events.
You will also connect with colleagues across the PwC Network, our team works closely with PwC offices in London, the US and across Europe, affording you the chance to broaden your network, tax knowledge and skills while enjoying some travel!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop into the management of your own portfolio.
Embracing the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. Being motivated to familiarise yourself with these evolutions and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.
Assisting in the ongoing management of client relationships, business development and participating in various consultancy projects.
Utilising the flexible working environment with efficient management of personal assignments, while reporting to a team of experienced senior managers, directors and partners.
Development of your own career. With sustained levels of growth in our tax practice, you will have an excellent opportunity to progress and specialise.
Mentoring and coaching trainees, promoting autonomy to make a difference and deliver results.
About you – Key Competencies & Experience:
At least 5 years experience, gleaned from a professional tax environment, in practice or in industry.
Strong academic record - AITI/CTA qualification is desirable.
Desire to learn and to apply the knowledge you gain across a broad range of deals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to understand complex tax matters.
Business Acumen - use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making smart and innovative business decisions.
Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
