Join Us in Shaping the Future of Built Environment and Energy Projects
We are looking for an experienced MEP BIM Lead to take a leading role in the delivery of complex building, industrial and renewable energy projects. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, client engagement and team leadership within a growing multidisciplinary environment.
If you are a senior technical professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, guiding design decisions and supporting the development of others, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across major projects and the wider engineering team.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
This role provides senior-level electrical engineering expertise to support the delivery of complex building, industrial and renewable energy projects. You will lead the development of electrical design solutions, guide technical decision-making and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards and best practice.
The role involves regular interaction with clients, architects, project managers and internal teams, with responsibility for communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will act as a technical reference point within the team, providing mentoring, support and leadership to junior engineers.
Your Impact in This Position
In this position, you will help shape the quality, consistency and successful delivery of significant electrical work packages. Your technical leadership will support project outcomes, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the development of early-career engineers.
Over time, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility across project leadership, team management and client portfolio development, supporting the strategic direction and growth of the engineering group.
Core Capabilities
Technical Leadership in Electrical Building Services
You will bring extensive experience in electrical design for buildings, including low and high-voltage distribution, lighting, life safety systems, BMS integration and IT infrastructure. You will demonstrate advanced technical judgement and a strong understanding of Irish regulations, codes and standards.
Project Management and Delivery Excellence
You will manage multiple projects from concept design through to closeout, maintaining technical quality, programme adherence and cost control. This includes estimates, tender documentation, contractor reviews and site supervision where required.
Team Leadership, Mentoring and People Development
You will act as a mentor and technical guide to junior engineers, supporting professional development and ensuring high standards across project outputs. You may also take on direct management responsibilities depending on office location.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management
You will work confidently with clients, architects and project managers, acting as a key point of contact on technical and commercial matters. You will explain design decisions clearly, manage expectations and support strong, trust-based relationships.
Commercial Awareness and Strategic Contribution
You will support business development, bid preparation and strategic forecasting, while identifying opportunities and contributing to commercial and contractual decision-making. Your insight will help support wider business growth.
