Full job description

We are currently seeking experienced Construction Site Managers to join our team for separate site-based roles in Dublin 15, County Meath, and Kilkenny.

Role Overview

The Construction Site Manager will be responsible for the day to day management, co-ordination and successful delivery of the residential project. The role involves overseeing all site operations, managing sub-contractors and direct labour, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, maintaining quality and regulatory standards and delivering projects on programme and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:

Manage on-site construction activities from commencement through to completion.
Plan and co-ordinate daily and weekly work activities.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers.
Oversee Health and Safety on Site to ensure compliance with legislation and company safety procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Control scaffold and plant on site, ensuring both are always fit for purpose with necessary certification.
Liaise with the Commercial team to develop and understand the scope of subcontracted works and have a commercial awareness to identify cost savings.
Compile material schedules and ensure the timely ordering of material packs and equipment.
Ensure the efficient use of labour and materials to minimise cost and waste.
Verify subcontractor progress and completed works.
Actively review design documents and specifications
Inspect and monitor works to ensure a high-quality of workmanship is executed across all trades and that works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and company standards.
Ensure technical and construction issues are resolved promptly and that BCAR requirements and inspection plans are implemented.
Manage the Site Construction Team through delegation of responsibilities and ensure their tasks are coordinated and controlled.
Report weekly progress against target programme.
Liaise and co-ordinate Service Providers, third party stakeholders, residents, and Local Authorities.
Oversee the handover and customer care processes.

Skills & Experience Required

· A construction management related qualification would be desirable (Degree/Higher Diploma/HETAC) or relevant trade experience.

· Significant experience managing large scale residential projects in Ireland.

· Have strong leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Have an in-depth knowledge of the Irish building regulations, BCAR procedures and construction practices.
Be familiar with Utility service provider procedures and processes/
Excellent Knowledge of trades and construction detailing with an ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The role is site based with standard working hours with flexibility depending on project requirements.

Pay: €53,000.00-€88,000.00 per year
