We have a new opportunity for a General Operative to join our Service and Repairs team. The position will be based in the Dublin region. The ideal candidate will assist in supporting with the day-to-day operations, with their primary role being to provide support to the on-site Mechanical fitters and Electricians'. Previous experience in the Construction and/ or Industrial / Water & Wastewater sector would be advantageous.
Your activities / work will be agreed with the Service Manager on an ongoing basis. No two days will be the same as the role will vary depending on the daily operational needs.
Responsibilities:

Performing the day to day operations of various customer water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks

Supporting day to day operations with your primary role being to provide on -site assistance to the Mechanical Fitters and Electricians
-
Assisting in confined space works (Top Man, with training provided)
-
Signing, Lighting and Guarding at Roadworks (Traffic Management, training provided)
-
Loading and unloading lorries, trailers and containers
-
Assisting with outward stock to site and customers
-
Supporting the warehouse team as and when required
-
Preparing and take part in the end of year stock take
-
Preparing for audit inspections
-
Assisting with Re-stocking of shelves
-
Assisting in keeping the stores and areas around stores clean and tidy

Drive a HIAB truck/ Forklift (training provided)

Health and safety checks on plant and machinery
-
Participate in supplier product training and internal training
-
Follow company policies and SOPs
Key Competencies and Skills:
-
Previous work experience in the water or construction industry would be an advantage

Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
-
Good written and spoken English
-
Good time management
-
A person able to build good communications with colleagues
Qualifications:

Leaving cert of equivalent qualifications

Full EU/Irish driving licence
