You'll use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Your responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems such as electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Additionally, you'll coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.<p> </p><p> </p><p>In order to support our long-term development, we are looking for talents to join our teams in Europe (Dresden, Germany / Leixlip, Ireland / Grenoble, France). Within our Installation department, we are looking for our <b>Installation Engineer to support European regions</b>.</p><p></p><p>The iTeam (Installation team) stands for the Installation of semiconductors production equipment across the European Region (mainly in Germany, ireland, France and Italy). We roll in, assemble, connect, and test the new systems until we hand over to our service team and our customers for the manufacturing of wafers to kick off.</p><p>Being part of the Install Task Force is more than a job, it is a way of life. As a team<b> we travel approx. 75 % of our working time</b>, and also get opportunities to support installations worldwide.</p><p></p><p>This position demands technical expertise, customer focus, team involvement and flexibility to travel.</p><p><b>Full training on our equipment will be provided through mentoring.</b></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Perform independently installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations), from the integration to the inspection of the tools including troubleshooting in case of issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Follow all checklists and procedures and ensure correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Respond to factory issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Adhere to the security policy and quality standards of Applied Materials and its customers.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills and Experience required: </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor or Master degree with technical background (mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar...)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Position open to junior profiles.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues during system installation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to communicate daily pass-downs and equipment status reports.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Project management skills to control installation project within budget, timeline and installation quality requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work autonomously.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Good English communication skills both written and verbal.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Good Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint)</span></p></li><li><p><span>The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe (75% of the time, depending on overall activity requirements) </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements: </b></p><p></p><p>This position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
