Full job description

As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by overseeing the coordination and scheduling of all design and construction activities. This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious construction company that values relationships, teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

REPORTING TO: Senior Planner

Purpose of Role As a Planner with Flynn you will be responsible for the coordination and organization of construction projects, developing schedules, coordination of workers and resources, and the monitoring of project progression.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to create project plans that align with client expectations and project deadlines.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or roadblocks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials and resources.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and update project schedules accordingly.
Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities.
Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential conflicts or risks.

The Candidate

Bachelor's degree in a construction related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or related role
Expert in construction scheduling software P6, Asta and Microsoft Project.
Effective track record in Earned Value Methodology and scheduling for NEC contracts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
