Community Employment Scheme Opportunity – Youth Worker
Location: South West Wexford Family Resource Centre

Hours: 19.5 hours per week
Are you passionate about working with young people and making a difference in your community? South West Wexford Family Resource Centre is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Youth Worker under the Community Employment (CE) Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and develop youth programmes in collaboration with staff and local volunteers.
- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate a wide range of youth activities, including seasonal camps (e.g. Summer, Halloween).
- Assist in running the Youth Café – managing stock, placing orders, and handling finances.
- Support the Family Support Worker in planning and delivering family-based activities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and hygienic environment for all youth events.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help youth establish a clear code of conduct.
- Monitor youth wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
- Maintain up-to-date records and membership details.
- Help with funding applications and seek new opportunities for youth programme support.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and relevant seminars.
- Support the weekly Parent and Toddler Group (Tuesdays).
- Submit accurate weekly timesheets.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by management.
