We are looking for reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our team on civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout County Laois and surrounding counties.
The role will involve supporting our site teams across a range of projects, including public roadworks, utilities, drainage, road construction, footpaths and general civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring and groundworks duties on civil engineering sites.
- Assist groundworkers, excavator operators and site supervisors.
- Assist with excavation, trenching and backfilling works.
- Help with the installation of drainage, ducting and utility services.
- Assist with kerbing, paving, footpath and road construction.
- Carry out preparation, reinstatement and finishing works.
- Load, unload and move materials around site safely.
- Work safely around excavators, plant, traffic and existing underground services.
- Assist with traffic management and maintaining safe working areas.
- Keep work areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
- Follow all company and site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience on a civil engineering, construction or roadworks site is desirable.
- Experience in groundworks, drainage, utilities or road construction is an advantage.
- Safe Pass required.
- Manual Handling certification is an advantage.
- CSCS/CSR certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good awareness of health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Full driving licence is an advantage.

Pay: €35,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
