Night Owls provides end-of-tenancy cleaning, property reporting and maintenance support for estate agents and property managers across Dublin.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable part-time Cleaner / Driver / Reporting Assistant.
This is not an entry-level training position. We need someone who already understands professional cleaning, can work independently, follows instructions carefully and communicates properly during the working day.
The role suits someone practical, organised and dependable who can take responsibility for completing a job rather than waiting to be reminded about every step.
What the role involves
You may be required to:
- drive a company van to and between properties
- collect and return keys from concierge, reception or key safes
- complete professional deep cleaning of vacant apartments and houses
- work with a small team or independently
- take clear before-and-after photographs
- complete simple move-out/property reports
- use email, smartphone, Word and Excel for basic reporting
- report damage, maintenance issues, missing items or problems immediately
- check cleaning equipment and stock in the company vehicle
- complete required weekly vehicle/equipment checks
- occasionally transport small items, keys or materials between sites
Communication is an important part of this role
We need someone who:
- reads and responds to work messages during working hours
- acknowledges instructions rather than leaving messages unanswered
- gives progress updates when requested
- reports delays or problems while still on site
- does not leave a property with an unresolved problem without informing the manager
- can clearly explain what has been completed and what remains outstanding
- is comfortable asking for clarification if something is unclear
We do not expect unnecessary messages, but we do expect reliable two-way communication.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- minimum 2 years’ professional cleaning experience
- experience with residential, end-of-tenancy, hospitality or commercial cleaning
- full EU / European driving licence
- experience driving on the left-hand side of the road
- legal permission to work in Ireland
- good working English
- confidence using a smartphone and email
- basic ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- strong attention to detail
- good timekeeping
- ability to work without close supervision
- ability to work as part of a team
- a practical, problem-solving attitude
- willingness to follow company procedures and checklists
A parking space near your home for the company van is preferred.
Portuguese or Spanish is an advantage, but good working English is essential.
Important
This role is suited to someone who is already experienced and can become productive quickly.
We will provide training on our company procedures, reporting system and standards, but we are not looking for someone who needs to be taught basic professional cleaning from the beginning.
The successful person must be comfortable taking responsibility for their own work, checking the result before leaving and reporting anything that cannot be completed properly.
Working hours
This is a part-time position.
Working days/hours will depend on the agreed schedule, but you must be available to start from 8:00am on your scheduled working days.
Additional hours may sometimes be available depending on workload.
