Lecturers required for FE-1 Course (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for two enthusiastic and knowledgeable educators who are passionate about law and committed to inspiring, supporting, and engaging students in their learning.
These are excellent opportunities for experienced legal professionals or educators to contribute to the development and success of students preparing for the FE-1 examinations. The successful candidates will deliver engaging, structured, and exam-focused classes in Property Law and Contract Law, providing students with a strong understanding of key legal principles, practical application, and effective examination techniques.
These positions are offered on a maternity leave cover basis and would suit experienced lecturers, practising solicitors or barristers, or legal professionals with a strong knowledge of the FE-1 syllabus and a passion for teaching and student development.

Location: Classoom in Dublin 2 or live online
Contract: Part-time
Duration: 14 week semester (November 2026 to February 2027)
Teaching hours: 2 hours per week (evenings)
Day & Times: Property Law - Monday, 6pm - 8pm. Contract Law - Wednesday 6pm - 8pm
Start Date: November 2026
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have:
- A recognised legal qualification and/or relevant postgraduate qualification in Law
- Strong knowledge of the FE-1 syllabus and examination requirements, particularly in Property Law or Contract Law
- Relevant professional legal experience, preferably as a practising solicitor, barrister, or legal professional
- A strong understanding of Irish Property Law or Contract Law and the ability to explain complex legal principles clearly and effectively
- Excellent communication, presentation, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to deliver engaging, structured, and exam-focused classes that support students in developing their legal knowledge and examination technique
- A proactive, student-centred approach, with a commitment to supporting learner engagement, progression, and success in the FE-1 examinations
Desirable
- Previous lecturing, teaching, tutoring, or professional training experience
- Previous experience preparing students for the FE-1 examinations
- Experience developing or delivering Property Law or Contract Law modules within FE-1, higher education, professional legal training, or similar environments
- Familiarity with current FE-1 examination trends, syllabus requirements, and examiner expectations
