Hollyfort, a private company specialising in public works for Government Bodies, including Healthcare and County Councils, is expanding! We're seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team to work on exciting projects throughout Dublin and Leinster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of cost plans and budget estimates
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities
- Monitoring project costs and reporting monthly against budget
- Preparing interim valuations and payment applications
- Assessing and pricing variations
- Attending site progress meetings with Contract Managers
- Assessing costs and negotiating with subcontractors, manufacturers and suppliers
- Taking onsite measurements and quantities for future works
- Inspecting properties for snags and preparing work schedules
- Supporting procurement of subcontract packages
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years' post-graduate experience with a PQS or Contractor
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (Engineering an advantage)
- Working towards or holding SCSI/RICS chartership an advantage
- Strong IT skills - MS Excel, Procore
- Methodical, accurate, strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple live projects at once
- Comfortable attending occupied/restricted sites where sensitivity and discretion are require
