As our Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day leadership of our distribution centre operations, including warehouse performance, stock management, and administration. Working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team, you will help ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a positive employee experience. You will also act as a deputy for the General Manager when required, helping to maintain smooth and effective operations across the site.
As a collaborative leader and coach, you'll help create an environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work. You'll contribute to building strong teams, maintaining high safety standards, and driving improvements that benefit both our people and our customers. Support the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring service levels, stock control, and operational objectives are achieved.

Provide guidance and support to managers and teams, balancing daily operational priorities with longer-term planning and improvement initiatives.

Foster a culture of inclusion, learning, safety, and wellbeing through coaching, feedback, and collaborative leadership.

Work closely with colleagues to ensure appropriate staffing levels and resource planning to meet operational requirements.

Lead and support continuous improvement activities using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other best-practice methodologies.

Oversee compliance with health and safety standards, company policies, audit requirements, and industry regulations.

Represent the site during business initiatives, employee forums, audits, visits, and other organisational activities, while providing deputy support to the General Manager when needed.

You have experience leading operations within a fast-paced distribution, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain environment, ideally within food distribution.

You bring experience supporting and developing teams, helping people grow while fostering collaboration and accountability.

You have a strong commitment to health, safety, wellbeing, and creating an environment where everyone feels supported and respected.

You are organised, adaptable, and able to remain calm when balancing multiple priorities in a busy operational setting.

You have experience managing operational performance, service delivery, budgets, stock control, or continuous improvement initiatives.

You are comfortable using operational systems and technology, with strong computer literacy and an interest in learning new tools and processes.
