JOB DESCRIPTION: Site Fitter / Steel Erector
Main Duties:
- Read and interpret technical drawings to install equipment & components.
- Carry out fabrication and welding of steel components, machinery and equipment.
- Perform maintenance, repairs and installation of mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and mechanical systems.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, elevators and other mechanical equipment.
- Assist with machinery upgrades, fabrication projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel to site locations throughout Ireland.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in a Fitter, Fabricator, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance role.
· Welding and fabrication skills, including MIG, TIG and Arc welding.
· Good fault finding and diagnostic abilities.
· Experience working with hydraulic and mechanical equipment is advantageous.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Full, clean driving licence.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
