O’Shea’s 79 is a family run pub in Dublin 10 and is seeking to add a full time “charge hand“ senior bartender to our team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a similar roll. We are a local pub with a good mix of local and passing trade.

Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations & Leadership
Assist the Bar Manager with the smooth running of daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained at all times.
Guest Experience
Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to every customer, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both regular patrons and first-time visitors.
Beverage Knowledge & Service
Confidently prepare and serve a broad selection of drinks, including draught beers, cocktails, wines, premium spirits, and Irish whiskeys to a consistently high standard.
Team Development
Support, guide, and mentor junior team members, contributing to a motivated and collaborative working environment.
Stock Management & Bar Standards
Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the bar area. Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering when needed.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all alcohol service is carried out responsibly and in line with licensing laws, health & safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a high-volume bar or pub environment
- At least 1 year of experience in a senior bartender or supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of beers, cocktails, spirits, wines, and Irish whiskey
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and organised in fast-paced environments
- A proactive attitude with strong leadership qualities
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and passionate about hospitality
- Previous bar experience in Ireland is essential
- Fluent English required
- References must be available upon request
