Pig Farm Manager – Ireland (Multiple Locations) – €45,000 – €50,000 + Accommodation
The Job:
We are recruiting for a Pig Farm Manager to oversee a 1,300 sow commercial pig unit within a modern, expanding production business. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for farm performance, herd management and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of a 1,300 sow pig unit
- Oversee breeding, farrowing, weaning, and finishing performance
- Lead, manage and develop farm staff to meet production targets
- Monitor and improve herd health and animal welfare standards
- Track KPIs and deliver against productivity and efficiency targets
- Oversee labour planning, workflow, and farm organisation
- Maintain accurate production and performance records
- Work with vets and nutritionists to optimise herd performance
- Identify and implement improvements in productivity and efficiency
The Company:

The Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years’ pig farm management experience (UK, Ireland, or Europe)
- Strong knowledge of pig production systems (breeding, nutrition, herd health, welfare)
- Proven experience managing and developing farm teams
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good understanding of production KPIs and performance metrics
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and make operational decisions
- Commitment to high welfare and production standards
- Experience with large-scale commercial pig units (desirable)
- Exposure to budgeting or labour planning (desirable)
