Your work will deliver tailored and impactful messaging to build awareness and drive strategic engagement.
You will join a group of communications and marketing professionals directly within the People & Organizational Performance (POP) practice. Together, you will ensure that POP's distinctive, science-backed insights on talent, leadership, change, and organizational design reach designated client and internal audiences. You will shape the way the practice connects with stakeholders—from client leaders and external industry experts to global firm members—strengthening relationships and positioning the practice as a premier global leader in human capital and organizational health.
Collaborating with senior communications colleagues and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and execution of best-in-class global communications programs, events, and publications that enable client activation and funnel building across all channels. By aligning with clear project briefs and leveraging insights, you will ensure communications efforts are strategically focused and deliver measurable impact. You will develop, support, and execute creative communication plans and tactics that build awareness of McKinsey’s capabilities, knowledge, and assets. Ultimately, your work will help protect McKinsey’s reputation, punctuate its expertise, and bring campaigns to life in relevant ways across channels, platforms, and stakeholders.
Based in Europe, you will work closely with over 3,000 POP consultants and experts across 65+ countries who are dedicated to helping clients make distinctive, lasting improvements in performance and organizational health. You will help equip organizations to unleash sustained performance and successfully navigate continuous, complex transformations by leveraging data-driven, science-backed insights—like the Organizational Health Index—focused on Talent, Leadership, Organize, and Change.
To drive effective communications, you will create clear, structured, and engaging written products (e.g., memos, emails, strategic marketing briefs, short-form content, blogs, talking points/scripts, Q&A) that rigorously follow conventions of written English and relevant local languages. You will proactively collaborate with internal and external clients and stakeholders to develop and advise on communications, ensuring alignment with audience needs at different stages of the marketing funnel. You will drive the development and execution of communications for reports, special projects, storytelling (e.g., social posts, case studies), and conferences or events, actively using project briefs to create alignment and drive strategic outcomes. Your work will include conducting strategic assessments (e.g., competitor insights, event speaker research) and collating them into digestible formats for leadership. You will ensure consistent branding—the firm's signature voice, visuals, and narrative—across platforms and channels to ensure resonance with target audiences and alignment with broader objectives.
To manage and execute key projects, you will contribute to defining best-in-class communications and events objectives and the strategies needed to achieve them (e.g., paid and earned media, CRM and social media support, websites, newsletters, and presentations). You will lead complex projects and workstreams independently or with a designated team. You will drive reputation-building programs through a mix of publishing activities and targeted knowledge dissemination, while also leading plans to address routine reputation risks. Your work will involve developing strategy and corresponding metrics to measure impact, implementing related data collection mechanisms, and applying analysis to optimize outreach strategies across the marketing funnel. You will manage data through reports and scorecards to track relevant metrics (e.g., client development, ROI, share of voice), regularly synthesize and share audience insights with stakeholders to optimize engagement, and coordinate the creation of contact databases to maximize dissemination.
