Churchfield Home Services is seeking motivated Carpentry Apprentices to join our growing retrofit operations team, working across residential projects throughout Dublin and the wider Leinster region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in carpentry while gaining hands-on experience within Ireland's growing residential retrofit sector.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, Supervisors and project teams, you will develop practical carpentry skills while completing your structured apprenticeship training.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of residential construction and retrofit works, learning how to deliver high-quality work safely, professionally and to CHS standards.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside quafied tradespeople, Supervisors and experienced site teams.
- Assist with carpentry works across residential retrofit projects.
- Learn to measure, mark, cut, fit and install materials accurately.
- Support first and second-fix carpentry works where required.
- Assist with preparation and enabling works associated with retrofit installations.
- Learn to read drawings, Works Orders and relevant project information.
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly under appropriate supervision.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and care of customer property.
- Follow RAMS, site safety requirements and CHS procedures at all times.
- Take care of company tools, equipment and PPE.
- Complete required apprenticeship training, assessments and on-the-job records.
- Work positively with your team and take ownership of your learning and development.
What You'll Need
Previous carpentry experience is not essential. We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and genuinely interested in developing a career in the trade.
- A genuine interest in carpentry, construction and hands-on work.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Safety-conscious approach to working on construction sites and in customers' homes.
- Willingness to complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.
- Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback.
- Full Category B driving licence would be advantageous.
Previous construction, carpentry or practical experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
