We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Common Area Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of a residential apartment development. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and can work independently.
Job Summary
As a Residential Common Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining all shared areas of an apartment complex to a high standard. Your work will help provide residents with a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
We supply battery powered backpack vacuums and leaf blowers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum and mop entrance lobbies, corridors, stairwells and lift areas.
- One lift to Maintain
- Clean internal glass, entrance doors, handrails and other high-touch surfaces.
- Dust skirting boards, window sills, ledges, fire points and communal fixtures.
- Spot clean walls, doors and lift interiors as required.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning consumables where applicable.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, spillages or health and safety concerns.
- Follow all cleaning procedures, health and safety guidelines, and use PPE where required.
- Ensure all work is completed to a consistently high standard while maintaining a professional and courteous manner around residents.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience in residential or commercial buildings is preferred.
- Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
