Role Summary
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting operations of the Irish entity, including statutory reporting, month-end close, payroll reconciliation, and compliance with Irish regulatory requirements. The role operates within a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment and requires a confident, hands-on accountant who can work across multiple business divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of month-end close process for some divisions
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and divisional P&L reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations using D365 Ledger Settlements
- Journals preparation including accruals, prepayments and reversals
- Intercompany reconciliation and elimination
- Fixed asset management and depreciation schedules under IFRS16
- Preparation and filing of bi-monthly VAT3 returns via ROS
- PAYE/PRSI reconciliation and Revenue compliance
- Statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102 / Irish GAAP
- CRO filings and company secretarial support
- Liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
- Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) administration
- Corporation Tax support and deferred tax calculations
Essential Hiring Criteria:
- Fully qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA,CIMA or CPA
- Proven post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP/FRS 102
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, Power Query)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Irish VAT / PAYE / RCT compliance
- Month end ownership
- High attention to detail
