McBreen Environmental is seeking a skilled and motivated LGV and Commercial Mechanic to join our team based in Cavan.
About the Role:
As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on LGVs and other fleet vehicles
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections
- Liaise with the Head Mechanic and wider team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain garage cleanliness and manage parts inventory
- Organise vehicle and equipment inspections with third parties
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with light goods and commercial vehicles
- Diagnostics and experience with modern vehicle electronics is desirable
- High attention to detail and ability to work to quality standards
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and diligent approach to tasks
- Full, clean valid Driver’s License (Category B)
