We are recruiting a driven and an enthusiastic Store Manager to rise to the challenge of leading our front-of-house team.
Our shop in the Westbury Mall, Dublin 2, is where it all happens! It is a busy retail environment, where customers can browse and purchase our handcrafted collections, or sit down with us for a consultation to discuss a bespoke jewellery commission or remodelling their old jewellery.
We are a warm and friendly team, who work hard but have fun doing so! We are looking for someone who shares our vision for a unique retail experience, craftsmanship, design and excellent customer service.
Role
This is an exciting role with overall responsibility for the day-to-day and ongoing running of an extremely busy shop, developing and growing an exciting business, and leading a team of 10+ passionate employees.
Excellent customer service is the foundation of Stonechat Jewellers and your role will ensure that our store and team provide a wonderful retail experience for our customers, whether they are choosing a small pair of earrings or commissioning a diamond ring. This role demands a strong retail floor presence, managing our team in the store and influencing the sales space, so enjoying the retail environment is vital.
Responsibilities
Team leadership
- Lead a motivated and engaged team of 10+ employees ensuring all tools and training are available to them to ensure individual success.
- Manage workflow and ensure team members fully comprehend responsibilities of delegated tasks, leading to exceptional customer service and meeting of sales targets.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor team performance and provide individual evaluations, constructive feedback and mentorship.
- Oversee recruitment of new team members as required and provide the relevant training to ensure our excellent customer service levels are maintained at all times.
Sales
- Demonstrate excellent sales ability through detailed product knowledge and the highest level of customer service.
- Drive sales growth by implementing effective sales strategies, analysing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee bespoke and remodelling consultations, ensuring the correct team member is assigned to each consultation, providing customer quotations for each special order and driving sales in this area.
Operations
- Manage the day-to-day running of the shop and creation of rotas, ensuring the store operates efficiently, the correct ambience is in place, online orders and customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner, and that, above all, our customers receive the best possible Stonechat experience.
Inventory
- Oversee and manage stock levels, liaise with our workshop and our other makers/suppliers to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards to showcase our products and create an inviting store atmosphere.
Marketing
- Liaise with the business owner and digital marketing executive to give shop floor feedback on the creation and implementation of marketing strategies.
Strategic Planning
- Work with the senior management team to develop strategies for business growth and development.
We are looking for an inspirational leader who has the following attributes:

- An interest in jewellery and contemporary design

- An eye for detail and an extremely thorough approach
- Great organisational skills, a calm manner and a gift for multitasking
- Strong IT skills including the ability to touch type and extensive working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
- The ability to show sensitivity and compassion as jewellery can be a very emotional purchase
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a high-end retail management role
- Experience in managing a team of 10+ employees
- Jewellery retail experience and/or experience in bespoke consultations is a distinct advantage
- Flexibility in working hours and availability to work on Saturdays is a must (Sunday work is also required in the 2 month period before Christmas)
- Fluent written and spoken English
