About the Global Statutory Audit Team
Our Global Statutory Audit department is a specialist team that services large-scale multinational companies (MNCs) with centralised and coordinated audit solutions. Our diverse and experienced teams are built to solve complex challenges and deliver outstanding results for international clients.
As an Assistant Manager , you will support the delivery of Irish/UK statutory audits and coordinate the execution of global audits through the Grant Thornton international network. You will work closely with Managers, Associate Directors, and Partners while also supporting and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements for multinational clients
- Perform and review complex audit areas, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Coordinate with member firms across the globe to deliver consistent and efficient global audits
- Liaise with clients throughout the audit cycle—from planning to completion
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing on-the-job training and feedback
- Prepare and review technical audit documentation, ensuring quality and clarity
- Identify areas for process improvement and support implementation of best practices
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
Assist in the development of proposals and presentations for prospective clients

Skills and Experience
- ACA/ACCA qualified, with 4 years’ post-qualification experience in audit
- Audit experience with large Irish companies or international/multinational entities
- Experience in a top 10 professional services firm
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP (US GAAP awareness is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in electronic audit software and documentation tools
- Enthusiastic team player with a collaborative mindset
