This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring the health and welfare of pigs through daily husbandry tasks, herd monitoring, and general day-to-day pig unit operations across all stages of production, with a primary focus on the weaner section.
Key responsibilities include monitoring pig health and performance, maintaining high animal welfare standards, and supporting efficient unit operations from breeding through to finishing, with particular responsibility for the management and care of weaner pigs.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Must be in good health and capable of performing physically demanding tasks
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar pig farming role is required
- Availability to work every second weekend
