The Airport Asset Manager (Civils & Structures) is responsible for the technical oversight, lifecycle planning and long-term performance of Dublin Airport’s civil and structural infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, roads, drainage, bridges and buildings.
Reporting to the Head of Civils & Structures, Asset Management, the role ensures that assets are safe, compliant, reliable and fit for operational use, while supporting the effective planning and delivery of rehabilitation, renewal and capital investment works across the airport campus.
The role involves assessing asset condition and performance, identifying risks and deterioration trends, and developing practical plans for maintenance, upgrade and replacement, including the preparation of asset management plans, investment profiles and technical inputs to business cases.
Acting as Client/Promoter for assigned civil and structural projects, the role provides technical continuity from project inception through delivery and handover, ensuring assets are delivered to the required standard, fully documented, and ready for safe operation and long-term maintenance.
Condition Monitoring & Compliance
- Ongoing assessment of asset condition and remaining life to identify developing or impending failures and enable predictive maintenance planning.
- Ensure asset availability for planned works to optimise lifecycle maintenance interventions and minimise business interruptions.
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and regulations.
Strategic Asset Management
- Promote Asset Management policies and standards in line with ISO55000 & ISO50001.
- Develop asset management strategies and plans to optimise cost, risk, and performance across the asset lifecycle.
- Create Asset Management Plans for civil and structural assets.
- Develop Asset Design Policies in line with best practice.
Investment Planning & Business Case Development
- Create asset investment profiles and plans.
- Prepare asset investment projects and appropriate CapEx budgets.
- Develop business cases and justify investment plans as necessary.
- Coordinate assigned CapEx & Opex projects to optimise asset delivery and minimise whole-life cost.

Project Promotion, Oversight & Handover
- Act as Client/Promoter for Core Asset Management Projects from inception to delivery and handover.
- Ensuring AM client requirements are captured with in project briefs.
- Project planning and design in conjunction with Infrastructure PMs and Airside Operations and Capital Development.
- Quality monitoring during works and acceptance of projects at handover stage, with emphasis on documentation and compliance with asset management policies.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Quality monitoring and acceptance to meet Dublin Airport standards and expectations.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality audits and investigations.
- Work with Infrastructure teams to improve system quality and identify lean process improvements in design and construction.
Technical Expertise & Reporting
- Provide Civil & Structural Subject Matter Expertise to Asset Management and Infrastructure Delivery for CIP Capacity & Core projects.
- Maintain accurate record keeping and produce reports as required.
