The Role
We are now seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician with strong experience to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our production operations and maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, hands-on, and accountable, with proven mechanical aptitude and welding capability in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance across production and facility equipment
· Perform fitting, fabrication, and welding tasks (including repairs and modifications to machinery, frames, brackets, guards, and structures)
· Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
· Support production teams in achieving daily output and efficiency targets
· Ensure all maintenance and welding work is carried out in line with health, safety, food hygiene, and engineering standards
· Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
· Participate fully in training and continuous professional development
Key Competencies & Experience
· Proven experience as a Fitter / Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
· Strong mechanical problem-solving and fault-finding skills
· Ability to manage and prioritise planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
· High level of flexibility and adaptability in a 24/7 production setting
· Strong awareness and commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Relevant trade qualification or welding certification is highly desirable
