The Greenhills Hotel in Limerick is currently recruiting for an experienced Night Porter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
Strong grasp of the English language is a must
You must have permission to work in Ireland to be considered
The main responsibilities of the Night Porter includes:
Providing a smooth and efficient night service for all guests
Patrolling and securing hallways, common areas, entrances and other locations on grounds or in the Hotel
To have a full understanding of the Hotel fire procedures and fire assembly points ensuring the safety of all guests at all times
Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage and travel requests
To have a working knowledge of the HotSoft system
To ensure that key areas of the Hotel are manned and are operating smoothly throughout the duration of the shift
To offer bar service to clients
To deal with queries, complaints or problems that may arise
Requirements for consideration:
2+ years experience as a night porter or in a similar role
The ability to work on their own initiative as well being capable of working as part of a team
A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
Prior experience covering both front desk reception and bars at night time
Have high awareness of property and security and experience with safety procedures
Be flexible with working nights, which will include both weekdays and weekends
Be computer literate
Have all necessary permissions to work in Ireland
