Description
We are a small, busy engineering and fabrication company looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role working on a wide range of projects, including weighbridges, machinery alterations and repairs, bespoke part manufacturing, industrial gates, agricultural engineering, line boring, machining, CNC plasma cutting, painting and finishing.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of fabrication, from interpreting drawings and manufacturing components to repair work and final assembly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys diverse projects, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to be part of a close-knit team where no two days are the same. Roles and Responsibilities
Reading and interpret drawings
Preparation of parts and fitting of parts within tolerance
Carry out MIG/Arc Welding
Use of machinary including iron-worker, bansaw etc.
On-site delivery and instalation
On-site repairs
Disassemble and Assembling of Machinery
Painting and finishing
Record keeping of time spent and materials used
Maintaining equipment and workspace
Requirements
Full clean driving license – Class B.
SOLAS-recognised trades qualification or equivalent certification is preferred e.g engineering with relevant experience.
Will consider relevant experience and skill in lieu of qualifications.
High standard of welding experience
Ability to manufacture parts to drawing specifications.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to strict tolerances.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
