Deli assistant wanted in a busy supermarket. Main responsibility will be producing all of the bakery breads, breakfast pastries and desserts made fresh in store every day. While you will be the main baker managing all aspects of the various products sold every day you will be part of a busy deli team so must be able to work as part of a team and assist or be assisted as the need arises. You will also be expected to wash up and clean in the deli with the team. You must be capable of working to a strict schedule in order to produce adequate quantities of goods at suitable times throughout the day while still taking great pride in your work to maintain a high standard in quality produce. The job will predominantly be Monday to Friday with the need for flexibility in some instances such as staff shortages or specific bakery requirements at weekends. All training in the specific requirements for the store's products will be provided but a love of and some knowledge of baking is essential. You must be able to work as part of a team with a positive attitude and great with customers.
