General Operator Team Lead
Location: Carrigaline, Co. Cork
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:30pm (depending on production schedule). Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays during peak seasonal periods is required to meet business demands.

Hassetts Bakers & Confectioners Ltd produces a luxury range of cream cakes, biscuits, cookies, crackers, and seasonal showstopper cakes for the retail market.
We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated General Operator Team Lead to join our fast-paced bakery team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily production operations, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of operators to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of general operators.
- Liaise with production management to coordinate daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
- Ensure team compliance with food safety, quality, health, and safety standards.
- Monitor production performance and report operational issues promptly.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Complete production documentation and reports accurately.
- Work closely with production management to achieve business objectives.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Work safely and efficiently on production lines to support the manufacture of bakery products.
- Pack finished products for storage and dispatch, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and organisation within the work area.
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing, bakery, or production environment.
- Previous team lead, supervisory, or leadership experience.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of food safety and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good standard of English literacy and numeracy.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
- Must have permission to work in Ireland.
