Service Manager – Aquabox Pump Systems Ltd
Role Purpose
To manage the complete service and maintenance operations for Aquabox Systems Ltd. The role is responsible for, coordinating reactive repairs, managing technicians, maintaining service standards, and ensuring equipment is returned to service safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service & Maintenance Management
- Manage scheduled servicing of Aquabox units across Ireland.
- Ensure pumps are inspected, tested, repaired, and maintained to manufacturer and company standards.
- Diagnose recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency and breakdown call-outs.
- Ensure all completed work is properly documented.
2. Service Scheduling
- Allocation of incoming service requests based on location and priority to most efficiently align with company requirements.
- Plan technician workloads, site visits, inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Prioritise breakdowns according to operational impact and customer requirements.
3. Technicians & Field Service Team
- Manage and support service engineers/technicians.
- Allocate jobs and provide technical and operational guidance.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, and job completion.
- Identify training and competency requirements.
- Ensure technicians have the correct tools, parts, equipment, and documentation.
4. Equipment
The manager should have oversight of servicing and maintenance activities involving, where applicable:
- Submersible pumps
- Water storage tanks
- Pump controllers
- Float and level-control systems
- Valves, pipework, and associated pumping equipment
5. Breakdown & Fault Management
- Coordinate technicians, parts, equipment, and access requirements.
- Monitor breakdowns through to completion.
- Analyse repeat failures and recommend permanent solutions rather than repeated temporary repairs.
6. Customer Management
- Answering incoming calls and emails regarding service requests & site inspections.
- Act as the main service contact for customers where appropriate.
- Provide updates on breakdowns, repairs and service requests.
- Deal professionally with customer complaints and service issues.
- Manage any incoming claims from damages caused from faulty units etc.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure service reports are completed accurately and promptly.
- Maintain records of pump history, faults, repairs, parts replaced, and testing.
- Monitor service KPIs such as:
- Response time
- Repeat breakdowns
- Technician utilisation
- Customer satisfaction
8. Commercial Responsibility
- Monitor the cost of service and repair activities.
- Ensure jobs are quoted and invoiced correctly.
- Identify opportunities to improve service profitability without compromising quality.
- Manage warranty claims with manufacturers and suppliers.
Core Objective
The Service Manager should ultimately be accountable for keeping the company's Aquaboxes operational in the field, reducing unplanned breakdowns, ensuring quality servicing, managing the service team effectively, and delivering a reliable and commercially viable service to customers.
Pay: €45,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
