Responsibilities Of Our Senior Warehouse Operations Manager
The Senior Warehouse Operations Manager will plan, organise and oversee daily warehouse operations for our Mullingar and Navan locations.
- Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations including goods receipt, put-away, replenishment , order picking, packing and dispatch.
- Manage stock rotation, product traceability, cycle counting, returns, damaged stock.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate third-party logistic providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution.
- Monitor transport schedules , route planning and delivery performance to achieve service level targets.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound stock movements are accurately recorded.
- Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team to achieve operational objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including service levels, picking accuracy, productivity, labour costs, transport costs, stock accuracy, waste returns and warehouse utilisation.
- Develop and implement warehouse strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- The Senior Warehouse Operations Manager will have a minimum of five years experience in a busy warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent warehouse and inventory management knowledge.
- Previous responsibility for stock, transport and staff.
- Third-Level qualification in Supply Chain, or a related discipline is required.
- Supply chain and logistics planning expertise.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and ERP systems.
