The Mercantile Group, one of Ireland’s leading hospitality companies, is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our growing finance team.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Support the year-end audit process, including audit file preparation and liaising with external auditors.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist with the reconciliation of bank accounts, cash, and credit card transactions.
- Provide day-to-day support across core finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
What You Bring
- A relevant Level 8 degree (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business).
- A genuine interest in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous relevant work or placement experience is an advantage but not essential.
