About the Role
We are currently recruiting for two clients, both located in Meath in the construction and construction related industry.
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our construction clients in , Co. Meath, who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This role will involve taking ownership of project cost management, pricing, procurement support, and commercial reporting across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with management, site teams, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with commercial objectives.
Reporting to: Senior Management Team
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quotes, estimates, and project pricing
- Manage project cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Monitor project expenditure and track performance against budgets
- Manage variations, valuations, and cost adjustments
- Support procurement processes and supplier negotiations
- Maintain accurate cost records and commercial documentation
- Prepare commercial reports for management review
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Assist in improving cost control processes across projects
Requirements
- Degree or third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
- Strong commercial awareness and cost-control experience
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and construction cost documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
