Location: Ardkeen, Waterford
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our team in Ardkeen, Waterford on a 32-hour permanent contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate food retail professional who enjoys leading people, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards in a fast-paced retail environment. As Team Leader, you will take ownership of the daily operation of the department, leading your team to achieve sales targets while ensuring outstanding product quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction.

Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience every day.

Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Drive sales performance, achieve KPIs and maximise commercial opportunities.

Manage stock levels, place orders, oversee deliveries and complete stock takes.

Maintain excellent merchandising standards and product presentation.

Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety and company procedures.

Oversee promotions, supplier tastings and product launches.

Recruit, train, coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential.

Manage staff rosters, holidays and payroll exceptions.

Conduct probation reviews, performance reviews and absence management meetings.

Handle customer queries, complaints and special requests professionally and efficiently.

Work closely with the Area Manager, host store management and support teams to deliver business objectives.
You'll be an enthusiastic leader with a passion for food retail and customer service. You'll enjoy developing people, leading by example and creating a positive, high-performing team culture.

Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within food retail.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a food retail environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

HACCP knowledge and commitment to food safety standards.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

Commercial awareness with experience driving sales and managing stock.

Passion for delivering high standards and developing your team.

Knowledge of Irish and European farmhouse cheese is desirable but not essential.
