HMCK Healthcare Limited is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Workers to support individuals with additional needs in residential and community-based settings.
Locations
We are currently recruiting for positions in:
- Kingscourt, Co. Cavan
- Dundalk, Co. Louth
- Kildare Town, Co. Kildare
- Fermoy, Co. Cork
Role Purpose
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support, assisting service users to maintain independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing. You will work as part of a team to ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support to service users.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meals, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Support individuals to maintain independence and participate in community activities.
- Follow individual care plans and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Community Care, Social Care, Nursing Studies, or a related discipline is essential.
- Proven experience in a support worker, healthcare assistant, social care, disability support, or similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, person-centred approach to care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Garda Vetting will apply.
Employment Type
- Full-time and Part-time positions available.
- Full-time contract: 42 hours per week.
- Flexible part-time hours available.
Salary
€32,000 – €37,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications, and role requirements.
Part-time positions are paid on a pro-rata basis.
