DBC Group is looking for an ambitious, digitally confident person to support our digital sales team.
This varied commercial role combines customer engagement, CRM management, digital marketing and sales support. You will help us strengthen relationships with existing customers, increase online ordering and identify opportunities where customers could benefit from more of our products and services.
Using HubSpot and customer purchasing data, you will identify gaps, follow up opportunities and support targeted customer campaigns. You will communicate with customers mainly by email, telephone and our online ordering channels.
This is not a cold-calling or field-sales position. It is a relationship-focused role for someone who enjoys helping customers, understands the importance of accurate data and wants to develop a career in digital sales.
The role may suit a commercially minded graduate or someone with one to three years’ experience in digital sales, CRM, ecommerce, customer service or sales support.
Core Responsibilities

- Build genuine one-to-one relationships with customers by telephone, email and online channels
- Help customers place orders and use our online ordering system

- Follow up customer enquiries, quotations, campaigns and website leads
- Maintain accurate customer records, notes, tasks and opportunities in HubSpot
- Segment customer data to support targeted sales and marketing campaigns
- Assist with preparing and distributing customer email campaigns
- Update website content, promotions, products and pricing
- Monitor customer engagement and campaign responses
- Process quotations and customer orders accurately through our ERP system
- Occasionally assist with purchase-order administration
- Liaise with sales, stores and credit control to keep customer orders moving
- Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements
- Gradually take ownership of defined customer groups and sales opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in digital sales, digital marketing and customer development
- Confidence engaging with customers by telephone as well as digitally
- The ability to listen, ask relevant questions and understand customer requirements
- Commercial awareness and the ability to recognise potential sales opportunities
- Practical experience using a CRM system or customer database
- HubSpot experience would be a strong advantage
- Confidence working with customer information and purchasing data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple customer conversations, orders and follow-up activities
- Comfortable learning ERP, ecommerce and digital marketing systems

- Ambition to develop into a more senior digital sales position
A qualification in digital marketing, marketing, business, ecommerce or a related area would be useful. However, practical customer ability, commercial judgement and confidence using systems are more important than the qualification itself.
Relevant experience gained through an internship, college placement, part-time role or practical project will also be considered.
