Phoenix Mobile Technology is a busy, independent mobile phone shop in the heart of Kilkenny city centre. We sell and service Apple and Samsung devices, along with tablets, headphones, cases and accessories, and offer services like data transfers, phone setup and repairs. We pride ourselves on friendly, honest advice and looking after our customers properly.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced, customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. We're open to either full-time or part-time hours for the right person — tell us your availability when you apply. You'll be the face of the shop — helping customers choose the right phone or accessory, booking in repairs, handling sales at the till, and keeping the shop floor looking its best.
What You'll Be Doing
- Greeting customers and helping them find the right device, accessory or service
- Advising on phones, tablets, cases, chargers and audio products
- Booking in repairs and keeping customers updated on their devices
- Processing sales, handling cash and card payments on our POS system
- Setting up and helping customers get started with new phones
- Keeping displays stocked, tidy and well presented
- Answering phone and walk-in queries
What We're Looking For
- Previous sales or retail experience is essential — you know how to talk to customers, understand what they need, and close a sale
- A friendly, outgoing personality — you genuinely enjoy dealing with people
- Good spoken English and strong communication skills
- An interest in phones and technology
- Reliability and honesty — you'll be trusted with customers' devices and the till
- Phone repair experience is a bonus, but not essential — we'll train the right candidate
- Comfortable working Saturdays
