Job Purpose
Control Room Operative plays a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of operational services across a national network. The position acts as a central point of communication, coordination, and monitoring, ensuring that operational activities run smoothly while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance, and incident management.
Key Responsibilities

To manage on a day-to-day basis the Security Control Room.

Ensure manning is at required levels, with regular shift patterns worked by trained and qualified staff.

Ensure that all officers are correctly attired.

To manage and ensure that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and performing their required duties.

To provide first line response to all incidents, fire, security, and health & safety and manage these in accordance with laid down procedures.

That all equipment (CCTV, Radios, Mobile phones) is managed, used, monitored, and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures.

To manage the Global Security Management System (GSMS) and to ensure all requests via GSMS are actioned accordingly.

Maintain accurate and correct documentation and update as required.

Ensure weekly / monthly testing (AED's, Panic Alarms and Penetration Test)

Ensure Client's "Golden Rules" are always complied with.
Key Skills & Competencies

Previous experience of operating at Duty Manager level
- Good demonstrable previous costumer care experience preferable

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Effective decision making

Strong people management and leadership skills

Effective time management & organisational skills
-
Good working knowledge of security and fire systems

Ability to use all Microsoft products and be able to create spreadsheets and managing data

Previous experience of conducting audits and preparing client reports

Experience of dealing with a range of HR issues
