Job Summary:
As Housing Data Analyst your role is to support the Housing Department by collecting, managing, and analysing data across its core functions. You will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reporting and dashboards to inform strategic decision-making, service improvement, and operational planning. This role will provide data analytics and reporting across Housing, Lettings, RTB, ASB, Tenant Engagement, and Tenant Sustainability.

The post holder will be responsible for a combination of the objectives described below and annual KPIs depending on the requirements of the organisation and the priorities of the Housing Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Functional):
Data Collection, Validation and Preparation
1. Gather data from multiple sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs) ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
2. Clean, filter, and transform raw data, identifying and removing inconsistencies, errors, and outliers.
3. Conduct data validation checks and document data definitions, business rules, and assumptions.
Data Analysis and Insight Generation
4. Analyse large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and areas of risk or opportunity within property services.
5. Apply statistical techniques to generate actionable insights across key areas.
6. Support decision-making by interpreting and presenting insights clearly to internal stakeholders.
Reporting and Dashboard Development
7. Design, build, and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
8. Tailor reporting outputs for different internal audiences across sub-teams.
9. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in all reporting deliverables.
Business Intelligence and Continuous Improvement
10. Stay current with BI tools, automation techniques, and data analytics trends.
11. Identify and recommend improvements in existing reporting frameworks and data collection methods.
12. Support automation and self-service capabilities for reporting users.
Governance, Compliance and Audit
13. Ensure all data handling and analysis activities adhere to Tuath's data governance, privacy, and security policies.
14. Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting templates to support audit and regulatory requirements.
15. Monitor and analyse data to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
16. Work closely with internal departments (e.g. Property, Compliance, Finance) to understand data requirements and provide support.
17. Liaise with consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders or data collectors where relevant.
18. Provide clear reporting to senior management and participate in inter-departmental meetings and briefings.
Training, Support and Capacity Building
19. Provide training and support to end-users on interpreting reports and using dashboards.
20. Promote a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.
Documentation and Communication
21. Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations for all analyses conducted.
22. Prepare written reports (including audits, surveys, risk assessments) with recommendations and innovative solutions.
23. Communicate complex data findings in a clear, concise, and visual format for both technical and non-technical audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBIITIES (Organisational):
24. Provide input into the Operational plans.
25. Adopt a collaborative and supportive approach, maintaining up to date professional knowledge and providing advice and assistance to colleagues as required.
26. Provide statistical data, information, and testimonials for annual report.
27. In all aspects of the company's work, promote effective communications, excellence in customer service, and a focus on continuous improvement.
28. Be pro-active in the development and maintaining of strong networks and relationships with colleagues and in other organisations and agencies, to ensure excellence in service delivery.
