As we continue expanding into more counties nationwide, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Head Office in Cork. The successful candidate will support the finance team with day-to-day accounting and administrative duties in a fast-paced and professional environment. Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors), including handling the issuing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records regularly.
- Track expenses, receipts, vendor payments, and customer balances efficiently.
- VAT returns and compliance.
- Payroll and PAYE compliance.
- Carrying out general administrative tasks related to finance.
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Maintain organised files to assist with and support the annual external audit process.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Part-Qualified Accountant or similar relevant position.
- Prior experience using Quickbooks is beneficial.
- Fluent English, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to solve problems using own initiative
- Strong organisational skills and a willingness to process and organise the company’s day-to-day transactional activity
- Applicants must have valid permission to work in Ireland.
Pay: €27,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
