We are now accepting application for an NPD Technologist to join our team in Cahir. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and launching new or upgraded product concepts, project managing these concepts through the development process to launch on time whilst ensuring quality standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting in the co-ordination of samples, pre-production trials and first production runs

Influence product set up and production decision making to ensure food safety and quality needs of the business are being met.

Implement and maintain detailed specifications for all finished products.

Detailed knowledge and ownership of various software programmes used by customers required.

Continuously researching for innovate and renovate concepts
-
Ingredient and packaging development, costing and validation on all projects.

Liaising with key customers to ensure their needs are met and commercial opportunities are grasped.

Liaise with cross-functional teams, supporting operations, quality or commercial teams, to solve problems which may arise for current or new product developments.

Have a clear understanding of the market trends, the expectations of the end consumers and the regulatory environment

Organising, leading and cooking for Taste Panels and Benchmarking

Working closely with numerous departments and customers in researching, developing, and launching new product ranges,
-
Manage queries from customers and/or complaints for external ingredient and packaging suppliers in conjunction with QA Team and explore root cause analysis to put sustainable corrective actions in place.

Ensure all NPD procedures, process documentation and systems in use all comply with customer and best practice requirements
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in a similar role in the meat and / or broader food sector with a proven track record of delivery and meet the following specific criteria

B.Sc. Food Technology/Food Science/Nutritional Science/Food Innovation/Culinary Arts

Have a passion and interest in food.

Commercial aptitude and awareness.

Direct meat experience would be advantageous.

Knowledge of food/meat processing technology.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Creativity in mind, approach and method to find new opportunities.

The ability to work on own initiative and be self organised and disciplined.

Demonstrate an energetic, self-motivated and flexible approach in all matters.

Proficient in MS Office and other relevant systems.
