The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Quality Controller with a background in food manufacturing or the meat industry looking for a stable, permanent role with standard weekday shifts?
We are a leading food manufacturing business committed to producing high-quality products that meet strict safety and customer standards. We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Controller to join our site quality assurance team.
In this key role, you will work directly on the factory floor alongside our production teams to audit processes, perform product swabbing, enforce food safety standards, and ensure every batch leaves our site meeting full technical specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Inspections: Carry out routine inline quality checks, factory audits, and quality assurance functions to verify compliance with company, legal, and industry standards.
- Audit Logging & Non-Conformance: Accurately record inspection results, log factory audit findings, and immediately escalate any product non-conformances or specification deviations.
- Food Safety Standards: Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure statutory food safety, allergen management, and site hygiene protocols are strictly followed at all times.
- Product Specification Verification: Inspect raw materials and finished goods against customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.
- Swabbing & Sampling: Execute the site's environmental swabbing and product sampling plans according to set schedules.
- Investigative Support: Assist technical and quality managers with root-cause quality investigations, customer complaint reviews, and corrective action planning.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) role within food manufacturing (experience inside the meat industry or high-care protein processing is highly desirable).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of food hygiene practices, HACCP principles, and factory audit procedures.
- IT Literacy: Proficient in using digital databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to log audit data accurately.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to liaise with production managers and escalate non-conformances effectively.
- Flexibility: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and flexibility regarding working shift patterns.

Pay: €30,000.00-€34,000.00 per year
