The Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork, is currently seeking an ambitious, dynamic & self motivated Assistant Bistro Manager for its Sutton's Bar & Bistro Operation

Job Overview
The Assistant Bistro Manager will form part of the F&B Bar Management structure and will be responsible for assisting with the short & long term planning and management of the Bistro Operation to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service, whilst meeting / exceeding financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- To development and promote plans to increase Sales - ensuring high standard of quality & service are achieved.
- To continually plan ahead and implement plans & ideas for off peak times, seasonal activities and family gatherings and occasions.
- To help manage and develop a team of Bistro Food & Beverage professionals
- Oversee and assist with monitoring & controling all aspects the Bistro Booking System
- Have a visible presence within the Bistro to ensure that all customer needs are consistently met.
- Resolve guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times, while maintaining the departmental and Hotel reputation. Record all feedback and strategise with departmental training plan.
- To assist with the management and organisation of all training for the Bistro team.
- Ensuring the team conform to a consistent high standard of personal hygiene and personal presentation at all times.
- Work in line with he F&B Operations Manager in terms of l Health & Safety, HACCP and any other statutory requirements that need to be adhered to.
- Follow best practice in managing costs within the hotel while always being conscious of our corporate and social responsibility.

Specific Job Responsibilities
- Team development, performance reviews, progression planning in conjunction with the Bistro Manager, F&B Operations Manager & HR Manager
- All aspects of Cocktails (menu compilation, training, delivery of menu in Suttons Bistro
- Support all aspects of Food Service in Suttons Bistro, Private Dining and Room Service.
- Developing and managing promotions and staff incentives for up-selling ( e.g. wine, desserts, liqueurs, cocktails) in Suttons Bistro

Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- Min 2/3 yrs Previous Experience in a Bistro / Restaurant Management role in the Hotel industry.
- Hospitality / Travel/ Tourism Management Qualification.
