Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Main Location: Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow
Normal Hours: Your normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day. Rostered hours and days may vary in order to meet business requirements.
Role Overview:
To maintain and develop service levels, in order to enhance continuous development. Unloading and sortation of goods in. Picking, staging, and loading of goods out. Maintenance of excellent housekeeping standards and compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely load/unload vehicles ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Accurately sort and verify orders against accompanying documentation.
- Prepare and stage orders for dispatch in line with route and loading sequence.
- Ensure all goods are accurately scanned in / out.
- Carry out general warehouse duties to support safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the site.
- Investigate & escalate stock discrepancies / damaged goods.
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded correctly in real time.
- Good understanding of warehouse location control & stock accuracy processes.
- Strong awareness of product care & damage prevention.
- Completion of tasks as set by Warehouse manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A counterbalance forklift operator’s license is essential.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Relevant experience within a warehouse environment.
- Self-motivated, driven & commutative with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Knowledge/Familiarity of delivery documentation/paperwork.
- Proven experience using handheld scanners to process inbound and outbound stock transactions accurately
